Take a cruise. Help rebuild an island. Together for Good's is one of the organizers and sponsors of the Cruise4Haiti in November. This November 14 cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas will help bring much needed aid to families and children devastated by the Haiti earthquake. Our work and fundraising efforts benefit Airline Ambassadors and For Haiti With Love, two 501(c)3 charities that have been active in Haiti since before the earthquake. These two organizations work with orphanages, food banks, schools, and health needs in Haiti. Come along with us and bring much needed aid to Haiti in November. For more information on the cruise, visit www.cruise4haiti.com.

To help raise funds for our two charities, Together for Good has launched Beading for Haiti. Teams of volunteers are making beautiful beaded earrings to sell at craft fairs, churches, school events, stores, and through school groups for community service hours. All funds raised go to support our two 501(c)3 charities, Airline Ambassadors and For Haiti With Love. Want to help sell raise money for Haiti? Contact Nancy.

Thanks to everyone who helped with our January NCL Tweet Up for Good Caribbean Cruise aboard the Norwegian Spirit. Together for Good Jamaica Trip

Come along with Together for Good to the lush island of Jamaica for a family friendly volunteer vacation. As part of your travel experience to this beautiful destination, you’ll participate in fun activities, visit local schools and orphanages, relax on the beach, and enjoy all that Jamaica. Join us on an all-inclusive getaway that will make a difference in the lives of others in need.

Itinerary:

Day 1

Arrive in Jamaica. Transfer from the airport and check into our all-inclusive family friendly hotel. Drop off your supplies in our donation room and get settled. If there’s time, take a dip in the pool or relax on the beach. We’ll have a Together for Good group orientation dinner this evening.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head out to spend the morning at a local orphanage. The Blossom Gardens Child Care Centre is located on a hill above Montego Bay and houses 50-60 children from birth through ten years of age. Our group will be bringing much needed clothing, toys, diapers and personal care items for the children. We’ll stay here for several hours holding and feeding babies, playing with the children, reading, and just helping out with whatever is needed. Return to the resort for a late lunch and a free afternoon at the beach or relaxing by the resort’s pool. Our group dinner tonight will provide the perfect opportunity to share our day’s experiences and talk about upcoming adventures. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Many Basic and Primary schools in Jamaica are seriously lacking in supplies and are in dire need of support. After breakfast today, our group will visit Sandy Bay Basic School, located along the main road leading to Negril. This is a basic school for over 80 children between 3-7 years of age. We’ll be bringing school supplies and equipment with us, as the school’s facilities are very limited. Kids here are very friendly and we’ll enjoy lots of one-on-one interaction with the children while we work on projects at the school.  After our school visit, we’ll take a boat safari up the Black River. Our boat excursion will take us into the Great Morass, home to mangroves, many crocodiles and a wide variety of birds Return back to the resort to enjoy all of its many all-inclusive features. (B,L,D)

Day 4

Our activities have kept us so busy, we’ve scarcely had time to enjoy everything our all-inclusive resort has to offer. Today is a free day to enjoy the beach, the pool, and the many exciting resort activities. Those who wish to spend more time volunteering may have the option to do so this afternoon. Following our group farewell dinner at the resort tonight, we’ll take a boat ride on the Luminous Lagoon. Located near Falmouth, this body of water contains one of the world’s largest concentrations of bioluminescent organisms. Watch these organisms give off a phosphorescent neon green glow when the water is agitated. Those who wish can swim in the luminous waters – make sure to bring a camera! (B,L,D)

Day 5

Relax at the hotel in the morning, then check out and transfer to Montego Bay for your flight back home. Please make sure to allow at least 90 minutes to check in and clear customs after arriving at the airport.
